Today’s Tip:
Joy breaks!
Design Thinking - shortcuts
Design Thinking shortcut for today:
Today’s Design Thinking shortcut: Joy Breaks - often when you come up against a really complex hairy problem, that you just can’t seem to find an answer to, is the ideal time for what I call a “Joy Break”. This is when you just take a small step away from the problem to do something totally unrelated that brings you a spark of joy. It could be something artistic, creative, musical, or even just a taking a walk or enjoying a cup of coffee in a place that feels like a getaway. It’s amazing how that often resets your mind in a way that allows it to see the solution when you look at the problem a second time. It sounds counterintuitive, but is amazingly effective.
